Gemma Serenity Gorokhoff was born in Geneva, Switzerland on December 23, 1978, into a life that would become one of the most extraordinary documented arcs of resilience, reinvention, and sovereign power in the modern coaching world. A French-speaking Swiss girl who grew up surrounded by classical music, art, and the quiet precision of a culture that values excellence, Gemma began studying the violin at the age of seven at the Conservatory of Morges, near Lausanne, and played for fourteen years at a professional level.
No one watching that child play could have predicted what the next two decades would bring: fifteen years of domestic violence across two marriages, near-death twice by strangulation, a moment of standing at the edge of a ten-story building on June 15, 2013, followed by what she describes as a direct divine intervention that changed the entire trajectory of her life.

The Beginning
Born December 23rd into a French-speaking Swiss family. From the earliest years, music, language, and precision defined her world. French and English spoken fluently; Italian understood.
The Musician
Fourteen years of formal violin training at the Conservatory of Morges, near Lausanne, graduating at twenty-one. She also taught herself piano, guitar, and flute, and composed original music. At one point, she won a songwriting competition that awarded her six hours of professional studio recording. She still knows her original composition by heart today.
Fifteen Years in Silence
Fifteen cumulative years of physical, emotional, financial, and sexual violence: beaten, belittled, raped, strangled to the edge of death twice. Through it all, she stayed, not from weakness, but from a profound loyalty to commitments made, and a world that had no language for what she was enduring. She tried to leave many times. Each time, she found herself back home.
The Day That Changed Everything
She had tried to leave so many times, finding herself back home every single time. On this day, she had one day too many, and simply decided to unalive herself. She did not think twice. On the very edge of her life, she heard a voice through her bones, impossible not to hear, that gave her a preview of what was coming, with a clear path forward. In that moment, she summoned the courage to leave for the last time. Without anyone. Without anything. She walked away with only her connection to that spiritual voice as her guide toward healing.
The Professional Foundation
Before America, before the mission, there was a career of exceptional financial precision. At Beau HLB Genève SA, she managed comprehensive tax advisory and bookkeeping for 70 commodities futures traders and 5 companies, earning a reputation for securing tax reimbursements that were considered rare achievements within Swiss fiduciary practice. At Gespower SA, she managed the full tax affairs of 70 medical doctors: returns, audits, payment negotiations, deadline extensions. The financial fluency that makes her advisory practice exceptional today was built in those Geneva offices, under Swiss standards of discretion and precision that are second to none.
A New World
In 2013, she met Sascha Gorokhoff, her third, last, and dream husband, life and business partner, the man she calls her rock and the reason she is standing in her full power as the powerhouse she has become. Together they made the move to the United States, a country whose language she had barely studied. She learned English during her first three months through full immersion, and never looked back.
Building in the Dark
The early years in America were not glamorous. English learned. A new professional identity assembled from scratch. L'Amour Holistic co-founded. Twenty-five years of accumulated expertise in tax advising, transformational life coaching, and business development began to compound into something entirely new: a platform with a global mission. And through it all, she pursued extraordinary academic credentials at MIT, IMD, Kellogg, Chicago Booth, and NYU, not for validation, but because knowledge was always how she healed.
The Podcast That Moved Millions
Real Talk Real Women: Breaking the Silence Around Abuse launched on June 1, 2022: Gemma opening up and handing the microphone to other women whose stories deserved to be heard. What followed was extraordinary: 2.6 million downloads in less than two years. A platform for every woman still living inside the silence Gemma once knew, now finally hearing a voice, and voices, that understood exactly what they were carrying. The show produced its last episode in October 2025, and its complete archive remains permanently available on Substack.
Honored on the Floor of Staples Center
The Comerica Bank Woman of Entrepreneurship Award, presented live on the floor of Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) in Los Angeles, in partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers, in front of a sold-out arena audience. The recognition that a woman who arrived in America without speaking the language had become, in Comerica Bank's own words, "a true example of courage, leadership, and resilience."
